Vital Energi Partner with BWitC to Support Local Community

Monday 9th December, Bolton Wanderers in the Community’s (BWitC) Wellbeing Hub hosted Vital Energi to deliver support to over 15 charities across Bolton. The initiative, driven by a generous £10,000 donation from Vital Energi, saw toys, food, and hygiene products distributed to organisations dedicated to supporting those most in need during this holiday season.

Vital Energi has been a Principal Community Partner of BWitC since January 2024. From the outset, the partnership has aimed to create meaningful change in Bolton with the organisation supporting the Wellbeing Hub and the services we run out of the Hub. Monday’s donation drop-off was a testament to the impact partnerships like these can have across our town.

Ben Lawton, Deputy CEO of Bolton Wanderers in the Community, reflected on the event “Today’s donation drop-off shows the strength of our community partnerships in supporting our local community. Events like these highlight the impact we can have when local businesses and charities come together for a shared purpose, working toward a connected Bolton without disadvantage. As a charity we look forward to continuing our work with Vital Energi and hopefully more of our partners in the future.”

Representatives from the local charities arrived to collect their donations throughout the morning. Among the beneficiaries were Baby Basics, Bolton Lions, Our Bolton NHS Charity, Emmaus, Farnworth and Kearsley Food Bank, Bolton Community Kitchen, Homeless Aid UK, Urban Outreach, and The Hygiene Bank. The donation event aims to support organisations, working to support individuals and families across our town, to make a real difference in the lives local residents.

Ashley Walsh, Managing Director at Vital Energi – “Whilst the festive period is a joyful time of year, we’re more than aware that it is also a difficult time for a lot of people. Through our long-standing partnership with Bolton Wanderers in the Community, we have looked to support those who really need it this year, providing a mixture of toys, sanitary products and food for numerous charities based locally and associated with the club. We believe in making a positive impact and we hope this will make a difference to those who need it.”

The event not only marked a day of giving but also underscored the importance of collective action in building stronger, more resilient communities. Vital Energi’s donation and ongoing commitment to BWitC are setting a powerful example of how businesses can partner with charities to drive positive change.

Looking ahead, both Vital Energi and BWitC are determined to continue our collaboration and find new ways to address pressing community needs.
