Inaugural Charity Gala Dinner with Ian Evatt Raises £30,000 for Bolton Wanderers in the Community

Bolton Wanderers in the Community last week raised £30,000 during their inaugural Charity Gala Dinner with Ian Evatt.

Monies raised will go towards supporting the Charity’s mission to use the power of Bolton Wanderers Football Club to inspire, support and deliver positive change.

Guests were welcomed into the 1877 Suite, boasting stunning panoramic views across the stadium, where they heard from individuals from a variety of backgrounds who have had their lives positively impacted through being engaged with the charity’s work.

Supporting the night through their attendance was Club Chairman, Sharon Brittan, BWFC CEO Neil Hart and Club Director, Nick Luckock, who gave an impassioned speech on how Bolton Wanderers Football Club can and does have a role to play in supporting the town and local community. Also in attendance as guests were Chair of EFL, Rick Parry and Chair of the FA, Debbie Hewitt.

Guests were then treated to a question-and-answer session with BWFC Manager Ian Evatt and Sporting Director Chris Markham. The captivated audience listened intently as they answered a wide range of questions including leaders within the squad, how and when they identify transfer targets and the importance of the players and back-room staff supporting the local community.

Bolton Wanderers in the Community CEO, Phil Mason said: “Friday was an inspiring evening, where we were able to recognise and celebrate individuals’ success and achievement alongside raising awareness and vital funds for Bolton Wanderers in the Community.”

“We are overwhelmed and immensely thankful to all who attended and made contributions. The £30,000 raised will ensure that we can continue to respond to local need and support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.”

Bolton Wanderers in the Community would like to thank Nationwide Capital Finance for sponsoring the event alongside Statuo, Boxoso and Stress Free Print for providing their services and support for the night.
