Huge Success for Annual Charity Golf Day

On Friday 2nd August, Bolton Wanderers in the Community hosted our Annual Charity Golf Day, raising funds to support the vital work carried out across our local Community. Raising an amazing £15,970 in funds to support our mission to use the power of BWFC to inspire, support and deliver positive change.

Hosted by BWFC legend John McGinlay, 19 teams including BWFC’s Aaron Collins, Luke Southwood, Luke Hutchinson and Manager Ian Evatt joined us at Bolton Golf Club for the four ball stableford format alongside the longest drive and closest to the pin competitions.

We would like to say a special thank you to Michael James who, as with previous years, has match donated the funds raised for our golf day to bring our total to £15,970 in funds raised. We would like to thank everyone who supported in raising funds for our work across signups, flag sponsorships, raffle and auction entry.

BWitC would like to extend their gratitude to event sponsors Harrisons Estate Agents who have now sponsored the event for the third consecutive year, John McGinlay for hosting the day and TVD Group for helping to coordinate the event, supplying auction prizes and for sponsoring the refreshments buggy.

Speaking on the day, BWitC Deputy CEO, Ben Lawton said:

“Its great to see so many local businesses and supporters alongside current and former players coming together to show their support for our Charity. We would like to give a particular mention to both Harrisons Estate Agents and TVD Group who have once again come onboard to support the organisation and delivery of the day. Now in our sixth year this event has once again proven to be a huge success and we thank everyone who has been involved for their continued support.”

Finally, we would like to thank all hole sponsors and the 19 teams made up of local businesses and supporters that played, and in doing so, helped to raise money to support our Charity’s work across our community.
