BWitC Take on Great Manchester Run

We are thrilled to congratulate our team on their participation in the highly anticipated AJ Bell Great Manchester Run. With commitments to promoting health, wellbeing, and inclusivity, the event aligned perfectly with the charity’s mission.

The Manchester 10K Run is an iconic race that brings together thousands of individuals from various backgrounds, age groups, and fitness levels. Participants navigated a scenic route through the heart of Manchester, offering a unique opportunity to experience the city’s vibrant atmosphere while making a positive impact.

A passionate team of 18 runners representing BWitC laced up their trainers and joined the race, including Apprentice Community Activation Coach Joe Lawton, who also completed the half-marathon! Representing the club and the community, the teams aim was to raise awareness and funds for the charity’s life-changing programmes that address social issues, health inequalities, and community development.

BWitC CEO, Phil Mason, expressed his enthusiasm for the event stating: “We are delighted to be a part of the Manchester 10K Run once again. It’s an incredible opportunity for our team and the wider community to come together, promote healthy lifestyles, and support our charity’s initiatives. We are grateful for the ongoing support from our participants, sponsors, and the community, as they help us make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”

Donations will directly support a range of programmes, including health and wellbeing initiatives, educational activities, disability inclusion projects, and community engagement programmes that benefit individuals of all ages.
