BWitC launch Female Wellbeing Sessions
Bolton Wanderers in the Community are thrilled to announce the launch of our Female Wellbeing Sessions, our new project designed to provide women across Bolton with a safe space to connect and build strong support networks within the community. Hosted at the Slaterfield Community Centre, our fortnightly sessions, open to women over the age of 18, look to provide an empowering space for activity, self-care, and community engagement.
Wednesday 4th September, saw the launch of our new sessions which was an overwhelming success! Participants enjoyed a selection of arts and crafts including crafting keyrings and jewellery whilst enjoying light refreshments and engaging in meaningful conversations with fellow attendees and staff. A perfect opportunity for women from different walks of life to come together to create, connect, and relax.
Alongside creative activities, our sessions will provide practical tips and knowledge for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, fostering both physical and mental wellbeing in our community.
Sarah Webster, Health and Wellbeing Project Officer at BWitC, said:
“Our Female Wellbeing sessions are a fantastic opportunity for women in our community to engage in meaningful activities and workshops. Designed to reduce social isolation through engaging wellbeing workshops, activities, mindfulness, and self-care tips, these sessions aim to help women build resilience, improve their health, and form lasting relationships within their community.”
Our Female Wellbeing sessions within our BL One project, supported by the Lottery Community Fund, form a vital part of our mission to connect people across Bolton to enable communities to thrive and succeed delivering positive change in our town.
Sessions will be held every other Wednesday, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Slaterfield Community Centre, located at Carrington Dr, Bolton BL3 6YE.
