Bolton Wanderers in the Community Selected as One of the Mayor’s Charities of the Year

Bolton Wanderers in the Community are delighted to announce we have been selected as one of the chosen charities for the Mayor of Bolton’s Charities of the Year for 2024. Mayor Andrew P Morgan JP recently announced he has chosen four exceptional local charities to support during his Mayoral term: Bolton Hospice, Bolton FM, Bolton Wanderers in the Community, and the Darren Deady Foundation. We were delighted to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress to the stadium on Wednesday 26^th June to meet with some of the BWitC team and talk about the work we do here at the charity.

The Mayor has a deep connection with all the selected charities, having been a dedicated Trustee at both Bolton Hospice since 2010 and Bolton FM since 2018, and as a Veteran himself shares a natural affinity with the Darren Deady Foundation. Bakewell Care Homes, his family business, is a proud “Community Partner” of Bolton Wanderers in the Community.

Bolton Wanderers in the Community is dedicated to making a positive impact in Bolton through various services. Being chosen as one of the Mayor’s Charities of the Year will significantly bolster our efforts and enable us to continue to expand our reach within our local community.
