Active Wanderers to Host Injury Prevention Workshop
Bolton Wanderers in the Community are pleased to announce that Daniel Barnes, Clinic director/owner of SB Sports Massage & Rehabilitation, will be joining us on Thursday 12th December, 6:00pm-7:00pm to lead our Active Wanderers ‘Injury Prevention: Making our bodies more resilient’ Workshop.
With nearly 10 years experience specialising in the treatment and prevention of muscle and skeletal pain within healthcare both in professional sport and private practice. Daniel and his team at SB Sports Massage & Rehabilitation have helped over 5,000 patients reduce their pain, stay active and achieve their goals. During the past decade Daniel has treated some of Britain’s top athletes such as Britain’s 1st Tour de France Champion and 4 x Olympic Champion Sir Bradley Wiggins, former world no.1 squash player Laura Massaro and Super League’s 2nd highest try scorer Josh Charnley. However, Daniel gets most satisfaction and pleasure from treating and supporting the general public within his private practice, seeing his patients achieve milestones that many of us can take for granted. Such as, playing with their children at the park, completing the weekly food shop pain-free or even just going to work to earn a living.
When asked about his upcoming workshop Daniel stated, “I am looking forward to my ‘Injury Prevention: Making our bodies more resilient’ workshop on Thursday 12th December and providing you all with the tools you need to stay active and healthier for longer”
Bolton Wanderers in the Community’s Active Wanderers programme is dedicated to empowering local residents to achieve healthier, happier lives through accessible and welcoming fitness and lifestyle sessions. The programme’s 2 weekly circuit sessions, light morning exercise session and a Walk and Talk session are designed to reframe exercise in a supportive, judgment-free environment which is accessible to participants of varied abilities and needs. Supplemented with our monthly workshops participants are encouraged to adopt small but impactful lifestyle changes. By utilising accessible and adaptable session programs, Active Wanderers helps local residents recognise the power of small lifestyle adjustments to achieve consistent and lasting mental and physical benefits.
